Is building a bitcoin mining pc profitable in 2020?
I read that the rewards for bitcoin mining are halved around every four years. If I spent 2k on a rig, how much money could I make per year with power cost included? Where could I find good info on this? I cant tell the difference between trash articles and good ones online.
Building a Bitcoin mining PC, any thoughts on my selection of hardware?
http://secure.newegg.com/WishList/PublicWishDetail.aspx?WishListNumber=15912065 So far my biggest concern is that quad 5850's will produce too much heat for the case I've selected, but I'm not really sure as I've never built a system with more than one GPU before. I know I could be using 5970's or 6990 cards instead, but that build just is outside my price range right now and this card seems pretty decent for its price, MH/s, and MH/w. I have a spare hard drive lying around I'm putting in this machine. Looking for your guys thoughts on what I have here.
NVIDIA Quadro M4000 not being detected by Nicehash OS.
I recently got an NVIDIA Quadro M4000 With the intent to mine bitcoin with it. When I boot up my bitcoin mining PC, it says that there is an error on the slot where I have the quadro plugged into. then, when nicehash OS boots, and starts to mine, it doesn't detect the card and just mines with the other GPUs that are in the PC. what can I do to fix this? Thanks!

[Offer] I can teach you how to setup a working bitcoin mining software on your pc for $2 bitcoin
Hey slavelabour! I’m just some random guy looking to make a few bucks. Before I start, I’m going to explain what bitcoin mining is. Essentially, bitcoin operates off of a blockchain, which has stuff that needs to be figured out in order for transactions to go through. Bitcoin mining is pretty much signing up your pc to do that stuff. Your pc can do this by itself with help of some softwares, and can generate a few dollars or cents a day, depending on your pc. (Disclaimer: you might not profit due to electricity bills) I can explain, through reddit dms, how to setup your pc for bitcoin mining, how to create a bitcoin wallet, and how to deposit and withdraw bitcoin. I can also link a few sites where you can order from amazon with bitcoin or buy gift cards with bitcoin. I can also tell you where to buy bitcoin with a credit card!
I am trying to upgrade my bitcoin mining PC to have an NVIDIA tesla C1060 in it and I was wondering if it is compatible with nicehash? I do not care about the profitability or the costs, I am just wondering if nicehash will recognize it and be able to mine with it. Thanks!
I have a fairly good pc. A liquid cooled, 3gb GTX1060, 6700k cpu and 16 gigs of RAM. I was hoping to purchase a GTX1070, but the mining prices made it quite hard for me. The ridiculous prices left me thinking: Why not join the mining craze? I did a little research and came up with nicehash. which seems to pay in decent amounts. Now my research left me with a few questions: Most of the discussions of risks of Bitcoin have to do with investment, which really isn't a problem in my case as the only investment is electricity (Which I doubt will go up by a noticeable amount) and wallets getting hacked. Again, I haven't really done work, so not an issue. Questions that were not answered, are what are the personal risks involved? I have heard of ransomware viruses that target bitcoin mining PCs, but I think they would only be an issue if I had a virus on my PC in the first place. I am currently dependent on my family. Could I be placing my family in any sort of financial risk by mining? (Even on such a tiny scale) They say if something is too good to be true, it probably is. I am sure that's the case here to, but I am hoping to figure out if the thing that's too good to be true here are the profit margins, or the whole system altogether. Thank you in advance!
